Financial Literacy: Explaining the Economy, Banks and the Swiss Financial Centre
Economic developments, political decisions and regulatory issues often have a greater impact on our daily lives than we may realise at first glance. At the same time, the interrelationships surrounding banks, financial markets and the Swiss financial centre are becoming increasingly complex.
With the series Financial Literacy: Explaining the Economy, Banks and the Swiss Financial Centre, Swiss Banking makes these topics understandable and accessible while highlighting their relevance. The articles provide context for current developments, explain key interrelationships and the fundamental pillars of the banking business, and show why they matter for the economy, society and the Swiss financial centre.
The series is aimed in particular at young, digitally savvy individuals who would like to gain a better understanding of economic and financial centre policy issues. It is designed to provide orientation, offer background information and explain complex matters in a clear and accessible way: well-founded, approachable and free from technical jargon.
The series is overseen and shaped by Nina-Alessa Michel, Policy Advisor Regulation & Economics at Swiss Banking. As the author of the series, she provides context for current developments relating to the economy, banking regulation and financial centre policy in Switzerland, and explains their significance for individuals as well as for the Swiss financial centre and its future.
On this page, you will find all articles in the series. New contributions are added on an ongoing basis and published through Swiss Banking’s channels as well as on LinkedIn.
